Harley chrome polish and Harley-Davidson 4/0 steel wool. Harley also sells some long cloth strips for shining handle bars. You might want to look into Harley-Davidson microfiber polising cloths.

The absolute best product out there to clean chrome on anything I've ever touched is called Simi-Chrome. Available at most HD dealerships I've ever been to.

The thing I like the best about it is that it does a great job restoring shine and it does it without making my arm feel like it wants to fall off.

If their really pitted or rust spotted you might try some Navel Jelly But if they are pitted that much, their going to look like crap no matter what you do unless you take them and get them re-chromed. I hate to hear that, nothing worse than a dirty bike.

NeverDull is my rust remover of choice as long as it's not deep down pitted rust. NeverDull will remove the rust chemically rather than abrasively like steel wool does. However deep pitted rust will require steel wool and you will dull some of the shine in the process.

Most methods/products have been covered above.
If you mean water spots after washing, Windex and a rag.
