Well, I don't know what clothes you have so I can't advise you much about that. Anyway, I think you should feel comfortable at first, so a pair of jeans and a nice blouse would be ok. You would seem very nice & comfortable with yourself, and you could suit your clothes with any nice hat or anything... I think it would be fine... and also the glitter of the party should belong to your friend, so... just try to wear simply and be comfortable.
