what can i do to get the swelling down?

Just ice your hand to reduce the swelling. What happened is kind of obvious you just cut off all the circulation to your hand, so it's kind of lacking in blood supply so just make sure you put your hand in a position where it gets the most blood.

Take off the hairties and try to move your hand around. You gotta get circulation going.
If it doesn't work, and your hand is numb or anything, go to a doctor's ASAP.

you cut off the circulation in your hand... get that hair thing off your wrist right now. as for the swelling i dont really know
