Why don't you change your diet and lifestyle. Some people have been able to completely come off their blood pressure and cholestrol medicine by making complete diet and lifestyle changes.
If you are concerned with the cost of medication, I would advise not taking those medicines every other day until you work with your doctor to change the states of your blood levels. You are on medication for a reason, the main one being to keep your blood moving and your system clean. But if you really want to save some money, change your life, change your blood, and go off your meds.

This is not safe for you. You're obviously taking cholesterol and blood pressure medications because your doctor thinks your levels are not where they should be. It is never advisable to merely take them every other day. Your medication will not be effective and it turn, may actually be quite detrimental to your health. Speak to your doctor, perhaps there are generic forms of similar or the same medications that perhaps you could be prescribed instead. I'm not sure where you live, but some cities have low cost clinics and low cost prescription services that can help (as well as social services at many hospitals).

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

Good lord, no.
Not only that, many of these medications are taken to keep a constant level in your blood. Taking them every other day will cause the levels to see-saw wildly. This can have far worse effects than just not taking the medicine at all.
If you want to get off the blood pressure and cholesterol medications, lose weight and exercise every day. If you're at normal weight and walk 30 minutes a day, you could probably get free of those meds in no time.

No, it isn't. The doctor prescribes it a certain way because that is what you need. Perhaps you could get some government assistance with your prescription costs?

It is not right to conduct such amateur experiments when it comes to one's health. I would suggest you to follow the advice of your doctor. He/she is a professional and knows best. But you can try some time tested home remedies. There is this web site which I found very useful. http://ailments.in/hypertension.html
