I think his reputation as a stealth taxer will follow him to No 10. Very few people will be cheering him - more cheering seeing the back of that disingenuous Blair chap.

If there is no election it isn't going to look very democratic even if the result would be skewed anyway by the Unions 40% of the vote compared to the members' 30% and MPs' 30%.

He still can't claim a mandate from the British people until he wins a General Election.
