(3x-1)(2x+5) First multiply 3x by (2x+5)
(3x x 2x) +(3x x +5)
=6x^2+15x No.1
(-1 x 2x) + (-1 x +5) Then multiply -1 by (2x+5)
=-2x-5 No.2
6x^2+15x + -2x-5 Then add No.1 and No.2 together
=6x^2 +13x-5 Simplified

you have to multiply both parts in the left bracket with both parts in the right bracket
so 3x X 2x= 6x^2
3x X 5= 15x
-1 X 2x= -2x
-1 X 5= -5
then add them together
6x^2 +15x -2x -5=0
then simplify
6x^2 +13x -5=0
