to provide quantitative values to the research question- it can often prove what no qualitative research could ever do because it is far less suseptable to bias. you can also discover things aobut your research question taht you would never thought of normally if you're wise enough ot understand what the numbers are telling you- qualitativeoften give you just half the story that part that we have already synthesized-quantitative can bring things to your attention that might otherwise have gone untoticed- and it can also disprove the importance of factors we once thought were critical- reasearch with out it is significantly weaker...
