I'm 16 and I was able to keep my virginity until a week ago.many guys tried to get at me but weren't able to.Then I got to know this guy with whom I had alot in common and he's also experienced. He loves me and I fear I feel the same about him.we had sex, the first time for me and I like the way he handles things in a very responsible way.the worst part about this is that my mom thinks I'm still a virgin,I don't know how to tell her that I'm no longer a virgin. My boyfriend has no problem in telling her that he loves me and that he had sex with me but I'm afraid that she'll "kill" me. what do you think about my situation?

lol, The first thing you need to do is STOP thinking your mum will ''kill you'' if you told her, she wouldnt, Parents arent stupid you know they do know whats going on with us girls.. there were our age once you know. Make sure you tell her on a 1 to 1 (just you and her) without your boyfriend there because its NOT his place to tell your mum (if you feel she needs to know).. and GOOD LUCK!!..(Trust me once you do it you will feel better and your mum will appriciate that you came to her and told her and that yu felt like you could,as a young woman not a little girl anymore.)

As with most life questions, there is no right or wrong answer.
Does your mother have a girlfriend that you can talk to. She may be able to help you decide. Or an aunt that you can talk to first. Are you the oldest daughter or youngest? Your mom may already suspect, but don't assume anything. Once you decide to tell her, you may want to write down your thoughts on how she has been an important person to you and how much respect you have for her. Don't just drop the bomb. She is the one person in life that will love you no matter what, but she has feeling too. Good luck.

I don't think your mom will kill you! She will freak – but definitely not kill you. Believe it or not she probably already knows. Therefore, the choice is yours whether you tell her or not it is all up to you… It all depends if you got a good relationship with her or not. Bottom line is whether you tell her or you don’t, you NEED to make sure that you remain responsible. At age 16 we all in love, we are so in-love that we could even fall in love with a donkey. Even though this guy whose age you didn’t mention says he loves you, but does he really? So be careful for falling so head over heals for somebody who is so easy with the words I LOVE YOU… the meaning of those words are strong – I don’t believe you have enough experience to know the true meaning of them yet. If you are having sex enjoy it but be responsible, go to your GP get annual follow-ups and use Birth Control pills, condoms, etc. etc. etc. DON’T have sex without protection just because it feels better FOR HIM and he uses the words I LOVE YOU…

We all say that our parents will kill us if thay found out,but i actually think that she will appreciate that you can confide in her.Its a big step, but you know your mom and she knows you,she might even be able to see the difference cause thats the way they are...they can sense lots of things. When i lost mine, about after that,i told my mom cause i wanted to go on family planning and i didnt really trust any of my friends or i was afraid that they might judge me.Mothers dont just judge their children....I also told her cause i also loved my first and i know that she knew just how much i loved him!My advice is to tell her firstly cause mothers are our best friends and secondly,i would want to be told by my girls oneday when im mother.

I think that Sweetie is right, but not ALL the mothers are the SAME!!
You should tell it to a woman, someone older than tou, responsable and with experience. You should talk about that, but (sorry if I repeat it) not necessary with your mother: in some case she could have a bad reaction...

Good luck and take care!

It depends on the relationship that you have with your Mother. If you two are close then yes you should sit down and tell her. Parents usually love their children unconditionally and no matter what you tell them that will never change. What ever you decide to do most importantly be responsible and protect your self from teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted disease.

I think u need to let your mom meet this guy; and after a few meetings. Let her know that u r serious about this guy.

then later u have a discussion tell her what has already happen and how u feel he is very responsible, And just out of respect u want her to know & u were unsure how'd she'd take it. then later have him come in and express his intentions/ & also how much he cares about u.

Think very carfully before announcing your news to your mother.
Just because you have done the deed does not mean she will be in agreement to let you continue to see this boy and she will probably not be accepting that you think it is ok to continue having relations with him or any guys for that mannerjust because you have already done it.
If you must tell her ask to be put on birth control, being mature means taking responabilities as well.
good luck but more than likely she is going to be furious.

Hell no. In the first place it's none of her business, and in the second, why tell her when you know that it would hurt her and there really is nothing that you can do to change it. Stay cool and good luck.
