Each one probably has his reasons for being a bachelor. Some maybe be afraid of commitment, some may simply prefer being single, some may not have found the right one yet, some may be in the closet and not on their way out, some may be very attached to their mother... there's probably more possibilities. So I don't really think about it much or judge them. It's their life, not mine, and if they are happy like this then I can be happy for them.

I think it's a sad state where men are too afraid to commit, and are enabled by women to live a single, obligation free lifestyle where they can get all the sex, booze and freedom they want. If women would stop catering to these losers (by way of sleeping with and sexually entertaining them), they would probably cave.

But why commit to someone when you can get all the goods from anyone you want, commitment-free?

I think I would leave them alone. They are an accident waiting to happen. It is called "commitment phobia".
