ok that is in contravention of the Human Rights Act.
i can understand ur philosophy but sadly,
what happens in the eventuality that a person is found
to have been wrongly convicted??
after what happened to those poor fellas a while back
who ended up looking like the elephant man i am not so keen.
there are many things that i believe in but in all things,
i do feel that people come b4 animals.
even as a vegetarian and a pacifist.
i despise child abusers and paedophiles and i agree wholeheartedly that they should be locked up.
I would, however, prefer if they were re-educated rather than punished. i have a fundamental belief in crime prevention. It is infinitely more desirable.

Ethically I would agree to have testing done on prisoners and criminals, but only from those who are willing to participate. Imagine that for a minute your mother was able to convince a jury of her peers that your father had molested you or your brother, but the reality is that it was through planted evidence and other devious methods you can imagine. Your father, innocent of crime, is now subject to the probing and conditions which you would wish upon others. There have been numerous situations in America where judicial systems have sent innocent people to death for crimes they did not commit. Think long and hard about what you would like to do to another before you end up in their footsteps and are subject to your perceptions.

hmm i kinda agree but then as someone else has said some people go to prison convicted of a crime that they didnt do so you could be seriously harming someone innocent look at that guy that was in the news this week he was in prison for 14 years and was innocent thats terrible and just think if they had used your method and tested loads of drugs on him ..what would he have been like?! reverse the tables though and you have someone like ian huntley and then what do you do!!!

I totally agree! that's a good idea. Nobody cares about them, so they should be tested on. It saves animal suffering, and saves ordinary people taking the risk if something go's wrong, so it's a great idea. And for all you people who say, '''they should get life in prison''' -well it would be coming out of your pocket, prisoners get a free bed, free food, and a free roof over their head, -all the thing's that ordinary people can only get through hard-work, prisoners don't pay for anything, it all comes out of our pocket.

I would have to agree with you, but with the condition they were on death row. Only because we do pay a lot to keep these "people" alive, but locked away from society... Might as well get a use out of them instead of just killing them off. Seems like a waste of money to do it this way! The american way... greed... get all you can with the money you spend...

Wether I agree or not is pointless, but it's against the USA's laws against cruel and unusual punishment.
They may be perverts and murderers, but if we as civil, upstanding citizens are reduced to their level of cruelty then we have gained nothing and become hypocrites.
I do believe in the death penalty, in cases where there is absolutely no doubt, but even that is done humanely.

One problem is that most criminals have a host of dieases that would affect the outcome.

Anyone against animal testing should be the ones lining up to take the place of those animals.

Those against animals testing should never go to a doctor or take any kind of drug ever because they all got their by animal testing.

I think that pedophiles and the like should get life in prison. If they volunteer for first stage testing of drugs, they would get out of mainstream!

I disagree because that would allow people like you to play judge. I shudder to think what a terrible world we would have to live in!

And besides, Rapist and child abusers ought to be hung by the balls anyway. (Ooops! I just became a judge, didn't I? Sorry!)
