There is no quick way to install Broadband because with Cable you need to make sure cable is in your area and you have to be connected via cable which is in your street or on the power line poles to your house then cable installed in your house and a modem supplied.
ADSL you have to make sure it is available then the ISP will go from there and it can take up to a week for things to come together or longer depending on the ISP and the amount of work that is required to hook you up and your modem sent to you.
With Wireless internet the same thing goes it has to be available in your area and the hardware installed and hooked up before you can access the internet and it takes time.

Unless its Local Loop or Ethernet (NTL/Telewest) They are all the same and rely on BT for the connection.
There are 2 flavours of Broadband now, LLU / PPP over ATM & PPP over Ethernet (PPPOA & PPPOE)

We took up broadband with Orange and found that to be very quick and easy, especially with the Livebox wireless modem. They were very helpful on the phone as well.

you have not any selection, you may have the landline to have the capacity to get broadband because it makes use of the phoneline for connection, till you want to attempt a sattelite connection yet they are sluggish and may be unreliable and are costly

Probably BT. However, you should also be concerned about cost and quality of service.
