I don't know what your weight is in American pounds but I can tell you that babies gain most of their weight in the final 1-2 months so your baby should get bigger before birth. Make sure you eat foods with a lot of calories that are healthy to help you gain weight. Some women just don't get big bellies when they are pregnant. I looked like a basketball sized belly with all my kids and they were 8 pounds, over 7 pounds and my twins were 6 weeks early and weighed over 4 pounds each but my belly was never big and the most I gained was 23 pounds.

Gaining weight is normal so do not worry about it. Try to eat healthy and get normal excerise. Unless your doctor says otherwise, you can do normal excercises and cleaning.

As for how much, In the last trimester you should gain one pound every week. or 12 lbs over the entire trimester.

SOunds like your Dr. is a little concerned, but if he/she has not placed you on a special diet I would not worry about it too much. Talk to your Dr. if you have any serious concerns or questions.

i dont know weight in kg- just in pounds... but i am only 18 weeks and have gained 12 lbs. (alot more than i've read you're suppsed to) but at the same time- my doctor gained 90 pounds with her baby and she looks great! (given her child is like 4 or 5....) just eat healthy and exercise moderatley... if needed diet AFTER the baby is in your arms! good luck... dont worry so much about your weight... you're having a baby! you supposed to get chunky!!!!
