Make appointments with local pediatricians now. Explain that you are expecting and you want to interview them in hopes of finding the best doctor for your baby. They will make you an appointment to do this!

Things to ask:

What are your office hours? (Saturday hours are a BIG +)
Do you have an after hours phone service?
Tell them if you plan to nurse or bottle feed your baby. Ask what advise they have regarding your choice.

Just get a feel for the doctor, see if your personalities "mesh". Make sure you feel comfortable with that doctor and that they don't make you feel rushed or as if your baby is just another source of income.

And ask your OB who they know. Talk to other pregnant ladies. Women love to chat it up about baby stuff, so don't be shy!

Good luck to you!
