No, I don't think anyone could have wasted so much money and time, spun so many PR stunts and fooled so many voters more than once! I have never, ever felt as unhappy living in my country of birth as I do right now - I actually feel more at home in France than I do here - all because of Labour's policies and their ability to completely alienate the majority of decent, working and educated people. I now cannot relate to the UK at all - I don't feel like I belong here anymore - I wonder how common that is or am I just getting grumpy???

Oh hell yeah - don't think they'll stop now. They've got at least three more years to go - just think what they can accomplish in that time: ID cards, DNA database, complete devolution of the UK... who knows? When GB is prime minister, we might even find out (all of a sudden) that the 5 economic tests have been met in order for us to join the Euro...

I'm not saying that I prefer the Tories, by the way - I'm just saying that I voted for Labour 3 times in a row and I feel utterly betrayed by them in every way, and it seems as though there's no end to their incompetence.

Hmmm....well I think Margaret Thatcher's Tory government in the 1980s did a pretty good job - can't get much more disastrous than that.

Sure. The Conservative government of 1979-1997 was substantially worse. Of course, you're probably too young to remember it.

It hasn't all been disaster. The foreign policy is a disgrace, but economically the country has never had it so good. It appears that the Gordon Brown bit of New Labour has been rather good...perhaps it is about time for the change.

Yes. Get Bush in. To be honest I'd rather the country was run by gorillas. Or Jade Goody. I wonder if I have any say in American elections. In that case I vote Eminem. Just imagine president Shady.
