When I first found out I was pregnant, I asked my doctor if I could still go skiing because we already had this trip booked in Breckenridge, CO. She said it would be OK. Then, I went and had my first ultrasound and I didnt see my regular doctor, I saw a midwife who said I shouldn't ski and she asked a different doctor who also said I shouldn't ski. I plan to only be on the bunny hills anyway and it is very soft snow out west even though I do not plan on falling anyway. Did anyone else ski while pregnant and what do you think?

I went skiing while I was pregnant, I had told my doctor and he said it was good exercises for me and to have fun!

Looking back though, I don't think i should have, I wouldn't this time around knowing how much you can fall and get hurt, (especially is your inexperienced) . So even though i did and everything was fine, in retrospect I wouldn't do it again.

Everything I have read and heard, snow skiing is one of the few activities that are a definite no-no. No matter how well of a skier you are, there are still risks of falling. I wouldn't take the chance. You'll have plenty of time to ski in the future. Also, skiing is a sport that children can take up at a very young age, so in just a few years, you'll be able to take your little one with you on the slopes.

I wouldn't do it! It's not just you that's at risk by skiing it's your baby. And of course you don't plan on falling but my dad how was a pretty good skier went skiing on the bunny hill and broke his collar bone because of black ice. Anything can happen at anytime but why add more danger to your pregnancy's. Just hang out around town and enjoy seeing the snow. But I'd play it safe and not ski.

Im beneficial i gets many thumbs down for this yet notwithstanding. I say circulate and trip some rides i think of you would be superb particularly, many females human beings dont even know they're pregnant and do a TON of stuff that would desire to doubtlessly reason a miscarriage if asked someones suggestion. i in my view replace into approximately 8 weeks alongside, perchance even farther and went jet snowboarding and we've been doing 80 crashing on the waves and bouncing up and down. The bouncing up and down i replace into even thrown off the jetski and had huge approximately 6 inches long bruises on each and each of my inner thighs and that i'm simply by deliever any day!

Haha this is a funny subject in our family. My mom actually went skiing when she was pregnant with me. If you have skiied before & are experienced, I would say go for it and take it easy. Although my sister is pregnant and her doctor told her no. I guess it all depends

I never did, it sounded too dangerous...when you're pregnant (especially once you get into the middle months) your center of gravity shifts and you're more prone to falls anyway. Plus this is a strenuous activity which most doctors don't recommend. If you would chance rollerskating or something like that then it's your body and baby go for it...but I wouldn't personally. There is plenty of time (like the rest of your life...LOL) for things like this...

I think you should avoid skiing, even a mild fall could cause a miscarriage. I wouldn't risk it, more if you are in your 1st trimester...you gotta be extra careful. Congratulations on your baby!

Touchy.....I guess I would say as long as you stay on your feet and take it slow it would be ok but so high speeds just incase you take a tumble wouldn't want to risk that.
