I agree with all the comments here..you should accept that you have had a hard life..and move on.....if you are getting help for that..good for you!!
Don't pay attention to what anyone thinks.. go about your business.
Everyone has their story...and has things happen in their life that they have had to overcome.....its how they learn from their own experiences, and how to cope with the everyday life there after...
Good Luck to you...

No it is not true if you don't let it get to you. Live your life the way you want to live your life and be successful. If you have had hard times and some trauma in your life --you can overcome them and be the stronger person by what you do to change that for yourself--not by listening what others are saying that you have had some rough times in your life. take those rough times and use them to make yourself a stronger and better person.

Don't play anything down, be proud of your triumphs in life and what you have overcome. You can either be angry about the things that have happened to you (which it doesn't sound like you are), or use these things as a positive. By allowing others to know what you been through and triumphed over you can be an example to others who otherwise may have turned to anger to deal with their problems.

It doesn't have to make you indifferent to other people. It can in fact make you much more effective in helping others who themselves are experiencing or have experience trauma. But that is up to you and you alone can make the decision to lend your spirit to the good of other people.
It doesn't have to be a "big deal", It can in fact just be what happened and this is what I learned from it and take it from there.
Believe me people are very appreciative and thankful to learn they are not the only ones having a rough time of it.

It isn't what happens to people that make them indifferent or bitter or any negative outcome; it is what they do with what they are given. If you have tragedy and come through it, it can make you stronger and better able to help others who think there is no way to survive disasters.
You can choose to let it twist you, or content, happy and filled with hope.....enough to give to others also....
Good Luck &Blessings

It's all up to you how you make yourself feel about any situation. Your trust has been lost in people and you have to gain it back. People love gossip and hearing about people who have it worse than them makes them feel like they are ok.
Just because you have a rough life doesn't mean you have to have a rough future.
