It wasn't a matter of how many troops but the way we were using troops in Viet Nam.

We used large scale warfare against an insurgency and that didn't work. We didn't change our tactics in time to make a difference.

Had the tactics changed when Westmoreland was relieved, we would have won by 1975.

China is what kept us out of the north.You can not win a war if there are to many rules on what force you can use.Sooner or later we will need to deal with China,I hope it's later but it will come and if our leaders try to control the use of everything we have they should be hanged first.

That depends. When America finally got tired of standing by and allowing the North to attack and let loose with a full attack, ground and air on the north.

this was a political war. we couldnt use all the technology we had at the time. if we where allowed so it wouldnt of lasted as long as iraq lasted.
