Yes. I am a Londoner - a real one, not like that motley band of south Londoners, Essex boys and Surrey cream puffs on Eastenders - and I am perfectly happy with the way I speak.
It is a shame that some of the London accents are dying out and some of that i blame on Eastenders, too. It has had an effect of modulating the voices of many people in a wide swathe across the south of the UK from Berkshire and Oxon all the way east to Suffolk, Norfolk and Lincs.

No I was born in American. I have an American accent, and all the Israelis here think I can't speak the language because of my accent even though I am fluent. It;s annoying.

I hate my accent, I am from Slough (near London) and I sound so common. I now live in Plymouth and am slowly picking up the local accent. I have lived here for 5 years and people still ask me if I am a Londoner!
