I can't really blame the rest of the world for how they feel about us. Americans are oxymorons....among some of the most selfish of us are the most selfless of us. Its hurtful to see how the rest of the world views us when they only know us through the misdeeds of our government or among our rich and famous. There are many hardworking, God-fearing Americans who would like nothing better than to see all of us act like we were one people on one planet. Those that have should share with those who don't. I said for years if our leaders can't get along, don't declare war, put those leaders in a room and let them duke it out till its resolved, no killing of innocents. Don't think we are not as appalled as all of you when we watch the news.
As a woman, I couldn't live in a better country. When I see women in other countries being mistreated it sickens me. I am educated and have a wonderful job. I can vote, buy my own home and raise my own family all without the permission of men. Americans really care about kids, why else would they be adopting everyone else's? Because no matter how poor you are in America it cannot compare to how poor you are in Africa. And if you are angry at our govt. (run by men), or our laws (made by men), or at the war (orchestrated by men) then you don't have a bone to pick with Americans, you have a bone to pick with males all over the earth. War is man-made, we cannot blame a whole nation for the acts of men, because when we do, its children and women who suffer.

dWali - good point, mate. It is a generalisation to say you like all Americans. I like the way you think.
I don't have anything against the majority of Americans, but I have a lot against the current Republican government. I am so f*cking sick of hearing that dislike or disapproval is caused by ignorance. Maybe it's caused by knowing full well what Dubya is doing to the world.

Gee thanks,but saying you like Americans is just as wrong as saying you don't since you haven't met all of us! Some of us don't deserve to be liked. There are baddies no matter where you go.
