Oooh! I love this one!
I've told tons of people I love them. In times before, I have told them through a song I played/sang on my guitar.
Don't play guitar? No sweat.
Just so you know, all this requires is some boldness. If you're gonna tell them, no way in hell you can shy out of it. You gotta be confident. Guys find it hot, actually. They've told me ><
Well, let's see. There's the subtle approaches and the flat-out approaches.
Flat-out approaches are way easier.
If you're in school, then just go up to them after school and tell them that you really like them. Use the words you want. Ask them out if that's what you're aiming for.
If you're in work, then ask them if they could go to coffee with you or whatever adults do... I wouldn't know, I'm the frosh.
And then the subtle approaches.
These are usually for the artsy. They tell them in some sort of an imaginitive, cliche way. I've done this in three ways.
One was the song.
Two was that I went over, threw pebbles at their window (I'm very cliche), they looked out, and I smiled and I actually said something in a different language (the subtlty part- I spoke a love song in Hebrew) and then said kinda slowly in english "I love you..."
Three is my favorite. I'm in school, so we have dances. For the entire week before it, I did a "secret santa" thing to them. At the dance, I told them it was me and I asked him to dance.
Yeah. I am insane. But you can think up your own, if subtle is your route!

Just tell them. If you need a way out, ask them "What would you say if I said I loved you?". If they don't feel the same then you can always follow it up with "Well it's a good thing I didn't say it then." and play it off as a joke.

Is this someone you know well? or is it a crush? Answer that question first. If not don't say it right away get to know that person first. If yes then just say it. look 'em in the eye though.

Be honest, with them and yourself. But remember, if you are going to tell someone that you love them, be prepared to answer the question "Why?".

Open your mouth and say the words... But look them in the eye so they know you mean it...

the best approach is to tell the person face-face
u can start off with...

may be you can:
1. cook for your someone
2. help your someone homework
3. take care when your someone ill
4. be there when your someone cry..
5. give support when your someone need it.
how ever......................
for me love is more about "care"...not just tell "i love u"it's more BULLSHIT!!!
