I deleted all the tracks on the mp3 player but It won't let me transfer any songs as the device is full. When I switch the player on it says "no data" so I know there is nothing on it but sonicstage says there is 966.0 MB used and only 2.7MB free! Been on sonys website for help (fat lot of good that was lol!) Can anyone help?

I have a sony mp3 player and I love it! Not sure which model you have but I've always found help on the ATRAC fan website. Here's a link to the flashplayer forum (I have a HDD model): http://www.atraclife.com/forums/index.php?showforum=8

I updated my firmware using their links and my player is better than ever.

I can't see a solution on their site straightaway but whenever I've posted a question I've had a solution in minutes! Did you delete via the player? If so, then Sonicstage will still think that there is data on there as you haven't deleted via Sonicstage.

Sorry I couldn't help with your specific problem. Post your model number and I'll try to help more.

Update: Pleased to see that you posted on the site I recommended and are now working again.

The machine will show some data as this is the writing software.

How did you delete it.

First instance using sonystage. or by using windows explorer.

Go to sonystage and it should say only a few meg on it.

If you have wiped out the writing software through windows explorer go to sonystage help and e-mail them with the problem.

If its saying nothing on the sonystage screen for the device use the delete function then try to download from within the program.

short of seeing the screen I'm not sure what else to suggest. own a sony mp3 for about 1 year and only problem I find was loseing the downloaded tracks (make a CD audio copy of it now).

Hope this helps
