Which type of doctor/dentist is the most likely to cover my TMJ under insurance?

It's not a matter of whether or not the Dr. will accept your insurance...it's a matter of whether or not TMJ is a covered condition on your health plan. Contact the 800 number on your insurance card and inquire about coverage. If it is covered..any dr. that is in your network will be covered.

I work in a Doctor's office and we see people with TMJ. Often they are referred to their Dentist to have a mouth guard made. I have Blue Cross and I know they do cover this. I know a few others insurances do also.
