I had it for twelve weeks on my first baby I am 5 weeks preg again and getting morning sickness again, and thought I wouldnt get it this time oh how wrong i was! lol. I found last time that drinking ginger beer and eating very strong mint sweets like altoids helped. Other than that not much works Im afraid. Sorry to be the bearer of such bad news but nothing will completely get rid of the sicky feeling but you should feel a bit better in the knowledge that the sicky feeling is your body dealing with the extra dumped hormones into your bdy from the baby and know that it is all doing its job! People out there will prolly think I am being mean but I am also suffering with it and so know how you feel, I feel I am going to faint with it and that there are electric shock headaches going thru my head all the time, i also have a bucket next to me right now! Im only on here to try and take my mind off it. Sorry hope this makes you realise you are not alone at least! Oh and congrats on the preg hope the sickeness passes soon so you can enjoy the little miracle growing inside you. i didnt take the time to enjoy and thoroughly be happy about my preg last time so I am making sure i thank my lucky stars every day for this one! xxxx

Unfortunately not a lot really works, just keep trying little bits of everything. I found that sweet things worked best, boiled sweets, flapjacks, etc.. the sugar can help reduce the nausea. Also try and get sea sickness bands that you wear on your wrists. Only put them on when you feel really bad as for some reason they don't work as well if you keep them on all the time. The good news is it will pass eventually, just grit your teeth and ride it out. then enjoy the rest of your pregnancy and of course the baby. Good Luck.

I used to put salt crackers near the bed and before I would even raise my head I would have to reach over and eat a couple of crackers. It worked sometimes but other times the moring sickness was just there and I couldn't stop it. Mine lasted about 5months. Then I got heartburn everyday till the baby was born I used to take a tums like 6 times a day! Sorry you have to go through it Cause it sucks but obviously totaly worth it!

I used to tell me husband a cup of (tetley) tea and a gingernut in bed first thing in the morning always worked (it did most of the time but even if the sickness didnt pass I still felt better for my tea in bed).
I also found a nibble on some seeds usually did the trick. I also found that cornish wafers (jacobs) worked better than water/table biscuits.
Good luck hon, it'll pass soon. x

I am past 16 weeks pregnant and still sick, but there have been phases, so here are more ideas:
-crackers and sprite or ginger ale before getting out of bed
-bland foods and small frequent meals
-zofran every morning, phenergan at night
-hot lemon tea
-ginger hard candies, ginger chewy candies, ginger tea
-pregnancy pop drops from mimi maternity
-saltines when the nausea hits
-drinking little liquid with meals.
seriously though, i've been on zofran every day for 11 weeks. it's so sad but my dr. says it's safe. without it, i am puking and miserable. and it does not make me tired. in fact i'm more tired without it because i feel so bad.

Poor you!
It can be a right drag, I swore by eating ginger, in any form, biscuits, ginger beer etc
But my siser used the Travel Sickness bands that you can buy from the chemist.
I hope this helps & that you soon feel better.
It's all VERY worth it in the end!

Ginger is meant to be good for sickness. Try a ginger biscuit before you get out of bed. Hope it passes soon x

Grate some fresh ginger root into a cup of water. Bring to a boil, remove from heat and let it steep a few minutes, strain, add honey to taste. Ginger calms a stomache. Ginger ale (not Sprite) works too.

Luckily I didn't have morning sickness with either pregnancy. But I've heard that eating something bland, such as toast or crackers, can help.

I was told to keep a thing of crackers next to the bed. Eat a few before you get up and it will help. They say bread doesn't really do the job. I hope that works. It gets better.
