The most important thing for a man while proposing to his woman is for him to look into her eyes and tell her what he feels about her, why she is so important to him? and why he needs her by his side in every step of his life. And the man should take his woman for a candle light dinner for two, at a place which has great romantic ambience and not to forget the soothing music in the background.

take her out to dinner and then tell her you'd like to take her to the park or somewhere quiet to look at stars. make sure this is at around 11 o clock and when it reaches 11 11 say make a wish its 11 11 and then wait 1 minute than say wanna know my wish? i wish you would marry me then do the whole proposal routine u know get down on ur one knee and say *insert name here* will you marry me?

If both of them having eaqual - good character, education, employment & family sentiments.....then the man is having rights to approach a lady with any way he likes.

then give her a warm hug and then a solid kiss........
a deep,wet and a long one
then bend on your knees and offer her a dimond ring
and tell her "you can't live without her...and you love her a lot"

There are many ways.It depends upon your upbringing, culture etc.
But speak in you native language and ask in a loving lingo;
"Amaar songae beyae korbe" "Mjhse shaadi karogi" etc.
Alternatively you give a cassette of meaningful songs and ask her to give reply.
