to divide by fractions - invert the divisor and multiply
for example (e.g.)
5/6 div by 4/5 = 5/6 x 5/4 = 25/24 or 1 1/24

To divide fractions follow these steps:

(1)Invert the denominator fraction and multiply (ie.5/6 x 5/4)
(2)Multiply the numerators: (5x5=25)
(3)Multiply the denominators:(6x4=24)
(4)Place the product of the numerators over the product of the denominators: 25/24
(5)Simplify the Fraction (25/24)= 1 1/24

To divide decimals:

If both the numbers inside and outside of the division box have decimals, count how many places are needed to move the decimal point outside of the division box (the divisor) to make it a whole number. Move the decimal point in the number inside of the division box (the dividend) the same number of places. Place the decimal point in the quotient (the answer) directly above the new decimal point.

For dividing fractions:

Filp the second one and multiple. For example. 5/6 divided by 4/5 = 5/6 x 5/4 = 25/24 = 1 1/24.

For dividing decimals, move the decimal point of the first number to the right or the left to get rid of it, then move the point in the second number the same way you moved the first. So 3.8 / 1614.62 becomes 38 / 16146.2 Then just move the point "up" and divide away. That way you always get the decimal point in the right place.

Good luck!

To divide fractions just multiply the first one by the reciprocal of the second, so 5/6÷4/5 would be 5/6*5/4.

For decimals, it's the same as dividing normal numbers. If you want, you can multiply each number by the same factor to make it easier. You'll still get the same answer because the factors cancel eachother out.

So 3.8/1614.62 can be changed to 380/161462, same answer because 100/100=1

if you want to divide fraction just simplfy it can then turn the last on on its head using your example it would be

5/6 ÷ 4/5 now it is 5/6 ÷ 5/4 the you simple times it so
5/6 X 5/4 therefor being 25/24 or 1 1/24

I would use the following steps:

1. Write down the question of 3.8/1614.62
2. Look at it for awhile
3. Realize what a waste of time it is
4. Grab a six pack and drink a beer
5. Six beers minus one = 5 beers left
