A good guy friend of many years says he likes you a whole lot, but he cannot date you. You tell him you can still have a good friendship. He then tells you he has been confused and he lied to himself and to you. In the email he also says that he finds you and your personality attractive. You have made a very large impact on his life, and he hopes it will not make things awkward to tell you. What would you think?

i think he likes you a lot and he is a little shy about asking you out. maybe he thinks if the 2 of you get together and it doesnt work out then it's a friendship lost and he wouldnt want that.

maybe you should talk to him, or if you are both a little shy then mail him. i seriously think he likes you though and if you are both single and both like each other then go for it.

Good Luck xx

What kind of crap is that? "I like you but I can't date you"
He may as well be saying, "I want to get into your panties but lets not go thru all that courting stuff." "Oh yeah about our friendship? I've decided that getting a good lay is worth throwing it away, are you game?"
After putting it in layman's terms for ya I'm sure you will know what to do.

He wants to get into your pants. Watch him -- he's up to something.
