You have to cover an area of 85² feet, which is almost 8²meters, since laminate is usually 2.00 or 2.1²m to a pack you should get 4 packs to start with, you would be lucky to get by with that, so you may have to buy another one! If you juggle your cuts you might make it!

Your room is 10 feet x 8 feet 6 in, approx 3 metres x 2.6 metres. So 85 squ feet or 7.8 squ metres. Allow 10% for wastage so you need to buy at least 93 squ ft or 8.6 squ metres. If you have doors or a difficult shaped room your wastage will be higher.
Starting at one corner, lay a strip one side of the room, joining end to end to make the length you need. Cut off the board to the exact length, then take that off-cut and use it to start the next row.

there is 80 square feet in the area of a 10 by 8 foot floor, a square yard is 3 foot by 3 foot or 9 square feet so then this means the area is about 8.89 square yards.
It depends on the laminates dimensions and instatllation but you need at least 80 square feet or 8.89 square yards. Good Luck.

860 sq ft but you need to add some extra to allow for cutting. The number of boxes you'll depends on how many sq ft comes in each box - some are 16-17 sq ft, some are 20 sq ft. You should buy 2-3 extra boxes for cutting and screwups. You can return any unopened boxes when you're done.
