I know many christians look down on mysticism, or magik. And they also look down on Telepathy, Psychic visions/dreams, taort reading and things of that nature. They view it demonic or unholy. But what if a person is born this way? WHat if a person is born with these gifts and cant help the visions, dreams, and prophetic things that come to them? Are they still demonic?

God forgive the judgmental. (judge mental?)

Spirituality is born from a personal occurrence with a divine, psychic or mystical experience of one form or another which inevitably connects a person to All that Is/God/Goddess/Allah/Great Spirit /whatever you want to call it.

Religion is second hand opinion of someone else’s divine experience. I think you will find that religions, and especially fanatical religions, tend to separate and divide people, while spirituality brings people together.

Thank God that Spirituality is on the increase!

I don't think they are demonic and I am a Christian. This is all a very strange subject in that these people do good things with their "second sight" but our pastor says they are being toyed with by demons. The person is not demonic themselves. This is something that I have trouble with in my personal belief and I admit it. I've seen good things happen because of a physic person helping in police cases. It's exciting and it's frightening at the same time. I know that I have had the odd experience of knowing something was going to happen before it happened but it doesn't work all the time. Mostly it has to do with knowing when a family member has just died or will die in the near future and I can't get to them in time. I don't judge these people because it has happened to me. Does this make any sense to you?

Edit: I may seem unchristian in this but I think that because it's demons that give the "gift" I should not use it. It's hard to say it's good when the outcome for me is bad. I try to stay away from the things that I see. However, it still happens.

There are things we don't understand. Some of the things we don't understand are the interference of demonic beings. Scripture tells us that we should avoid the workings of the "devils". Acts 16:16-19 tells a short story that perhaps would help illustrate the proper attitude. I don't believe that the age at which a person first is aware of external things helps us to understand what the things are. There are many things under the sun, and I don't have time to adequately study them all. It could be that I am in error occasionally when I suspect that some force is the working of the devil. However, I would rather be safe than sorry later.

Please dont think that the person is evil! It is not the person, but rather the demons that are influencing that person.

Yes, my friend, if they are "born" that way, they need to be delivered from the demons who have given them the so called gift (not a gift at all, but rather a curse). The person with the "gift" gets their information (most often not even realising it), from demon sources.

Demons want to deceive the psychic and the client my friend.

Once the psychic, etc., goes for deliverance, they lose their "gift" because the demons giving the information have been bound.

I do hope this helps.

The Lord bless you.

Nobody is born perfect or holy. We are all born in sin and shaped in iniquity and that is why we all need the blood of Jesus to cleanse us from our in-born sins. We are all born with a sinful nature in us and that nature is what Christ takes away so that we may be holy. Yes gifts and callings are without repentance but if that gift is against the will of God then better discard it and let God use you in other ways for His Kingdom.

I know that many Christians would indeed consider it demonic, yet they believe Pat Robertson when he says God told him one thing or another,as if he has a phone line to heaven. And to say they look down on it is the understatement of the century,if they followed the tenets of their own Bible it would be their duty to kill these people,of course they don't do that anymore because they want to pretend their religion isn't the brutal, hateful, bloodthirsty thing that it truly is at its core.

yes, it is very demonic. the psychic people on tv murder mystery's can place their selves in the mind of a killer and see how things go down, how is it they don't find out where these people live or work? I think anyone can place their selves in the frame of mind of these devious people and they are picking up all these images, sure, it's a hot bed of information...but why not keep plugging things until you can feel where they hide and stop them from continuing? Doesn't make any sense to me....

Supposedly we only use 10% of our brain. Maybe psychic people have the ability to use more of their mental capabilities than the rest of us. To me it's a matter of science and not religion or a combination of both.

No, because there aren't any psychic people. That's all bunk.

However, some people who thought they were psychic were considered demonic by some people who were really into the Christian myth.

Christians have been taught by the Bible to stay away from "familiar spirits" Familiar spirits are spirits that have been around you since you were born. When they are conjured up, it opens doors to things that we as humans/mortals aren't ready for. Same thing with the quija board. If God wanted us to connect with the spirit realm, then He wouldn't have made us human. Besides, When those "psychics" (like that boy that claims he can talk to ghosts) say they are talking to dead loved ones they are just talking to familiar spirits(or that loved one could be in hell) . If your loved ones lived a good life filled with God and His laws, they would be in Heaven. And when you're in Heaven, you don't want to come back to talk to anybody because you're in paradise with God who loves us all unconditionally. When you're around that kind of love and excitment, you won't want to come back and tell anyone anything.
