I have BF-120, an infrared device, but lost the installer cd. when i download the driver from a site, my pc refused it with those words i mentioned. what should i do? how can i install my BF-120?

Don't worry about it. Just go ahead and install it. The message simply means that the driver hasn't been tested and passed against Microshaft's certification standards. In order for a company to get that certification they would have spend lots of money on it. It's a just a stamp of approval really and means nothing. Lots of software is like that but still works just fine.

Microsoft requires that device providers submit there drivers for verification.

As this costs money. Lots of money. Many product providers do not get a Microsoft Certificate.

Hence your message

It will install if you click "proceed anyway" or words to that effect

It should give you the option to install anyway.
