Do you believe that if we tell a fib, we often have to tell more fibs to cover that one?

Are we deceiving ourselves when we say that those Bibical characters lived such long lives because time was measured differently at that time?
Some have suggested that a day may have been 1000years.,or a day may may have been a minute.
Would this mean that the Jews wandered in the desert 40,000 years, or perhaps 40 minutes?
Would it mean the animals stayed on the ark 365,000 years, or 365 minutes?
Did it rain 40years, or 40 minutes?

GASTOUNET--Did you happen to notice if that 40 minute rain caused the entire earth to flood?

If the Bible says its 40years then it is indeed 40years. All you have to note is that the Biblical/Prophetic calendar had 360days a year and 30 days in a month.
