By giving more will the other half take the upper hand in a relationship? and will he/her appreciate

both parties have to give in,
caring, trust, have faith in each other
yes, they will appreciate, they might not express it out for u but u will know it urself one day
no one will take the upperhand, both are equal

If each person in the relationship gives his or her ALL, all the time, it can only be Win Win! It is when one gives more than the other that things go sour.
You need to commit everything in a relationship, all the time. Besides, what is the point of being in a relationship if you aren't willing to work at it?! My b/f says that he knows I am happy, because I am making him happy. Makes sense! If one of you is not happy in a relationship, then the other one will eventually be miserable too.

no relationships is not all about giving! you need to give and take you have to do a little of both. you need to do both in order to live a happy and healthy relationship. i agree wit one of the ppl above to many ppl in relationships take the other for granite and in the end it turns out to be a horrible relationship. if the ppl in the relationship work together and arent greedy or anythin the other will deffinitly appreciate what they've done for each other

one thing the more you give the more your other half will want from you. so you must give without waiting for something in return so that you will not be disappointed never stop untill you see that the other one is just enjoying himself or herself and is just ignoring what you are doing and is living without giving a damn about what youve done so long just break up and search for a better person to give your love it all!!!

a relationship is about each person giving a hundred percent to make it work other wise if its 60/40 someones not that into the realtionship and things can go downhill fast
