If I were to judge the outcome of my life so far according to that concept I would say I must have been a very evil person indeed in my previous life. I have actually thought about this before, and thought about looking up evil people who died between my conception and birth to see if I could find any correlation between their acts in life and my personality, but it would be too time consuming and I'm sure you could find many correlations and never be able to truly pin down one.

I think that I did alright, but I also think that there was something that I didn't fulfill in my past life and that's the reason why I'm here again. As far as karma goes, I think I did alright in my past life because in this life I have been blessed beyond measure with parents that love me, money, a nice house, food on the table, clothes on my back, central air and heat every winter, cell phones, and an extended family that will go out of their way to make sure I'm happy. Oh yeah, I also have a sweet ride and good credit. God is good all the time and all the time God is good.

You are incorrect about the Buddhist belief. We DO NOT believe that "your current life was determined by how you did in your previous". Actually, that is a common misconception by non-Buddhists, usually American, about Buddhist thought. Your idea of "reincarnation" would be more appropriate to the Hindu version of it. As Buddhists, we do NOT posit a "soul thing", something that exists of the self after death. What goes on to become "reincarnated" is the thirst (trsna, in Buddhist Hybrid Sanskrit) for existence. Not identity, not memories, etc. Sorry--you can't blame that one on us!

this is a simplisticway of looking at things and trying to justify your present state of being to the previous one and therefore you have no control over it. isnt it? lets be practical. why would you wanna come back and make good of your previous life? does it sound logical? the previous life is over and done with. we start life anew in the next world. probably u cannot come back to this world again in the same manner that u cannot crawl back into your mother's womb to live that life again. life is a progressive journey. from womb to world and to the next world. i think this sounds more interesting! i sure dont want to come back here again and start all over again!! geeee!
