sounds like the Coax cable is not getting its full juice to produce a bright picture. Check your main feed coming into the house. Split it twice from the main feed, and use a direct line to your LCD. U want RG-6 coax cable. A tv thats an LCD cannot have a signal that has been split too many times, it distorts the image to a grainy picture.

Quite often if you chain a few devices together, even by scart there is some loss in picture quality. At home I have , freeview to vcr to dvd to tv.

As a result there is a slight ghosting and graininess to the picture.

Buy a signal booster, most electronics shops stock them. This will sort it.

Did u use the same cables and leads from the other t.v. if so change them to the gold plated ones as some lcd can be a bit sensative to older conections,go to ur local elecrical store and have a look at the gold plated scart leads andother cables to see what they suggest you use on a lcd t.v.

good luck.

What make is it?

Unfortunately, if it's a cheap TV (Goodmans, Luxor, Hi-Sense, Kenmark, Proline, DM Tech, etc) you can't do anything about it. They all produce poor pictures.

If it's from one of the big name manufacturers (Sony, Panasonic, Toshiba, Hitachi, etc.), take it back to the retailer, as it sounds faulty.
