I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.

It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.

Stay motivated, and get up and walk every day. I seriously lost all my weight starting off my day on my walk.

Good LUCK!

Sounds to me like you are just about the right weight for someone your height. The quickest and easiest way to lose 10 pounds is to stop eating all sugar.....only diet soda, no candy, limit juice and other natural sugars, limit pasta, but don't avoid all carbs, they are essential for a healthy body. With just that small change, the pounds will start dropping at a healthy pace. Add a little exercise and you'll be off and running with your weight loss. Good luck.

Restrict your portion sizes. Spread more calorie intake throughout your day instead of loading up at breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Cut your total calorie intake to 2,000 per day. Replace processed foods with fruits and fresh or steamed vegetables. Drink more water. Don't touch anything with high fructose corn syrup among the top three ingredients. It's loaded with empty, gut-sticking calories.

Increase your activity. Walk or ride a bike to places you'd normally drive to. About 3,600 calories burned equal one pound of fat. So, if you burned 600 more calories than you took in every day, you'd kill about a pound of fat per week.

Also, weightlifting drastically. Not only does it help you burn calories during a workout, lean muscle mass burns more fuel than fat. It's like walking around with a V-8 motor instead of the four cylinder under the hood.

In addition to its fat-burning value, weightlifting also helps you tone up your body so you feel slimmer even after two or three days of lifting because your tissue is tightening up.

Smaller portions of food and cut out as much as you can SUGAR of all forms. I know this is hard, I can't cut sugar out of my diet I'm so addicted to it but i hear it makes you hungrier faster and makes you have mood swings and causes much wieght gain. Carbonated soft drinks are also not good, drink bottled water instead. Hope this helps.

You don't need to loose any weight! But to keep any extra weight off, stay away from caffeine and sugar. ;)
