looking into emigration, i have the technical stuff, now i would like more day to day stuff, quality of life, education, employment, daily living, anything at all would be most appreciated, thank you

You've already gotten some good answers; I'll add my two cents, for what it's worth. Believe all the positive things they have said - they are true. The province is in a boom cycle, as people have come to realize it is much too expensive to live in Alberta and British Columbia, and Sask. has much more to offer.
The quality of life beats all else - no matter where you settle, city or town, you are always close enough to what you want - whether it be shopping, education, employment, etc. If you are in the city, it's easy to get out into the country to escape. If you are in a small town, you can access conveniences in a nearby city.
The cost of living is a really big draw - house prices and rental prices in the two big cities are decent, and they are really good in the smaller cities and towns. Utility prices are okay, competetive with nearby provinces.
The education system is wonderful. Each of the biggest cities has a university; both cities and smaller ones have technical college campuses. Each city has a public and separate school system for elementary and secondary education. Standards for teachers are high, and the education level is wonderful.
It's a wonderful place for a family - there are tons of things to do and see. The province varies so much from north to south, that within mere hours of travel time you feel like you could be in a different country - from the prairie to the forest; from the hills to the beautiful lakes.
I've lived in Saskatoon the longest, and really like it best. However, Regina is great, I grew up in North Battleford, but have also lived in Lloydminster and several smaller towns. Good experiences in all!

Saskatchewan is a laid back province all around with a variety of options. Everything the others said about Saskatoon is true, it is Saskatchewans biggest city as well. Regina also has a university and some people love it though its not my favourite. Moose Jaw is a great small city that is convient to Regina and yet has decent price real estate an ok economy and is a good place to raise kids. Regardless of where you choose to settle the education system is good k-12, there are two solid Universities and good public Tech colleges with numerous campuses (SIAST). Health care is on par with the rest of Canada in the cities though access to health care in rural areas can be lacking at times. You should be able to find a job with ease so long as you have some skills as employement rates are pretty low. One place to start looking is www.saskjobs.ca.

Ignore the sarcasm of first answerer. Saskatoon is in a boom economy at the moment. Unemployment is 2nd only to Calgary and wages are steadily increasing. Taxes, for an NDP government, are surprisingly low and the cost of living and housing is reasonable. Saskatoon itself, is a beautiful city with access to great recreational areas to the north and has a vibrant social scene for a city of it's size. There are plenty of shops and lots of quality restaurants. For my money, Saskatchewan is a great place to live and Saskatoon is the best place to be in Saskatchewan.

we are actually moving there, in two weeks, to the Saskatoon area, it is a nice city. reasons why we chose there is that, there is an airport there, (my partner works away alot) we found a community that still has a nice laid back feel to raise a family, and the cost of buying a house there is soooo much cheaper than BC and Alberta, we were tired of being "house poor" and think this is a good way to get ahead for ourselves. Besides it is no colder there then in Edmonton and it is only a 4.5 hr drive there. hope this helps? Good Luck.

It's just fine. Left (for university) twice, but came back both times. I live in Regina and love it; some people prefer Saskatoon.

Appreciating it is a state of mlnd. If you are stubborn, shallow and materialistic, you might not like it here.
