hey! I am actually working on a community event- 100 chairs. We are inviting 100 artists to paint 100 chairs and we are going to auction these chairs off for charity purposes. We are desperately looking for wooden crates or pallets to place the chairs on so as not to dirty them. Any great ideas? We have tried grocery shops to no avail as the suppliers will bring back the crates for fruits! Any suggestions? Please help us! Thank you!

Wooden crates/pallets are costly and usually the owners will not jsut let you have it. Why not put something like cloth at the bottom?

Depending on the State you live in companies that lay sod usually have pallets. Also I would look into Craigslist and I would post an wanted ad as well.
Now, if you have the net in front of you as you apparently must, it is easy to locate Singapore. Give you a hint: You should be looking on the map of Asia!

Don't be like IBM deep blue. Think simple. Go to Ikea, get 100 of those cheap foldable plastic chairs. Do not throw away the packaging. They are white in color, easy for your painters wto work on. Rewrap them and auction off. Every household have use for 1 or 2 such chairs, easily stored and they are tough.
