Gerald8018 you can turn off most passenger airbag`s on most car`s so that you can legally carry a child saftey seat in the front .
I think on a corsa where the fuse box is on the right hand side ( just under the stearing wheel ) if you pull down the cover to the fuse box you will see a red circle where you can insert a key into , this is to turn on / off the passenger airbag ( you will know it is off as there will be a light on the dash near the clock`s indicating that it is de-activated ) .

The only conceivable reason for doing this is in connection with fitting a child seat. Speak to a Vauxhall dealer for advice.

You can't.The air bag is there for safety,to be able to turn it on and off at will, would not make it a safety aspect. What is the point of being able to turn it off, anyway! The only time an air bag is inactive, is after it has been deployed.

if your car is still under warrenty, get it removed via them, if not, go to a mech who is cheap, and ask him to remove it, but keep the air bag incase you wish to apply it again
