You can feed a Rottweiler a high quality food for the same as a low quality food because they will eat less of the better quality food.
STAY AWAY from grocery store foods, vet foods, and generic pet store foods. If you want a healthy dog, you need a good food. Stay away from popular brands that are 'marketed' as being nutritional - Iams, Eukanuba, Science Diet, Purina, Pedigree, Nutro, Diamond, etc. These foods all contain fillers, by-products and cancer causing chemical preservatives.
The highest quality foods include - Innova, Wellness, Solid Gold, Fromm, Merrick, Canidae, Wysong, Blue Buffalo, etc.
I'm sure you could feed a Rottweiler for $40-$60 a month a exceptionally healthy food.

Yep they eat alot. Rottweilers, range from about 22" to as much as 27" in shoulder height. They may weigh as little as 85 Lb. but they an weigh as much as 120 Lb. and occasionally slightly more than 120 Lb. The proper feeding of a Rottweiler depends on how much exercise the dog gets.

No. In my house we have 2 rottweilers, and we only spend about $16 a week on dog food... we just get Purina healthy morsels, or small bites, or fit and trim... not sure which we're using right now but small bites is their favorite even though it's made for small dogs.
The $16 covers just a very big bag of the food...

They are a large breed dog, and hearty eaters. Most vets will recommend Science Diet and it is quite expensive. With any large breed dog their diet must be monitored, especially breeds known for hip problems such as rotties.

I would say yes, but thats cos i have 4 of them. They are great dogs but need LOTS of walks, attention and time to train them.
