I believe you can be IN LOVE with more than 1 person at a time. If you have the energy to provide both/all with the energy they need then why not? HOWEVER, as far as going back to an ex...that's a tough one. F. Scott Fitzgerald said "Never the same love twice" and i have always taken that to mean that: generally, when we miss someone, we are feeling nostalgia. going back to an ex generally does not work because you want it to be the way it was, and it will never be the way it was. i hope this helps. :)

You are mourning what 'could of been' of your old relationship. You probably aren't really mourning him.
Think really hard. This should be a no brainer for you, so try to think logically. After 1 month of being with your ex again, what would the relationship look like? You'd both slip back into old destructive patterns. When you find yourself thinking of him, tell yourself to look forward, not back. If you are not looking forward with the new guy, then change your thought process, your environment, etc. Avoid the ex at all cost. Everytime you see him, it is like putting your finger in the flame.

You know, I think it is totally possible. I mean, with every other relationship type, you can love more than one. Like loving two parents, or siblings, friends, cousins, and the list goes on. But why such taboo about loving more than one person as a companion?? It's because the love of another person as a bf, gf, or lover, husband, wife is the only type if relationship that a person can and has every right to be selfish about. You have to understand that when you love two people, those two people will expect you to be with only them, one or the other. I'd say you HAVE to pick, for their sakes, because trying to give your all to two people is just going to kill THEM. IF they love you. It's best to cut ties with one, so that that they can start moving. I mean cut ties as in a relationship beyond friends. Of course if you still see your ex all the time, then you can't NOT talk to him. Sometimes situations arise and you have to. If he isn't the one you pick, then you just stop flirting and giving him "the eyes".

I think it's possible to love hundreds of people at a time! Love is love, no matter what kind of actions it translates into. It's ok, it's normal to still love your ex and want him in your life. Sounds like you had a great relationship, and could continue to do so on a different level. I'd keep your distance for a while tho

Don't let lingering past feeling ruin whats right in front of you especially when you say its perfect. You need to look to the future and quit wasting time looking back and accept it being over or you will never learn from past mistakes. You need to remember what broke the two of you up to begin with and don't forget. Good Luck from someone who has been there and done that.

can you love 2? sure....actually endless in ways.
you love your parents right? thats 2....grandparents? thats 4 if not 6...uncles, aunts, pets.
unless you are at the age of marriage and are in a serious relationship, having more than one bf or gf should not be an issue. as each is nothing more than a stepping stone to the one you will actually marry later in life. its the whole purpose of dating.

It's possible, because people have different connections in our life. Maybe it's not best to be in a realationship right now until you are totally over him.
