Hmmm.... I have a couple.
I bought a terrible fake prada off of ebay for $300 but luckily, I got most of my money back after a huge fight and I filed a complaint with paypal.
The worst was the I was with a guy for about a year and we went on vacation together to the DR, he told me the trip would be $1,000 and I gave him $600 up front. Our plans got switch around and we stayed with a relative of his in DR and he surprised me with a 2 stay hotel visits. The min we got back he stated to pester me for the rest of the money and I comment I though it would be cheaper since we stayed with his aunt. Later after a huge fight and him trying to get more money out of me- because we shared a sell phone. I later found out- HE was charging me for the WHOLE TRIP- INCLUDING HIS TRIP!! Then he tried to charge me $300 for a cellphone which I later found out he got for free since he worked for Nextel. So I over paid him about $400 for the trip and he was trying to get an additional $700 out of me. We had a huge fight and broke up and he claimed he didn't have any money to pay of this stuff. Next thing I know is he is on myspace and for $$$ filled in he makes 200,000 a year.... I make a fraction of that!!!! I wonder if he includes what he STEALS in his salary.

The most expensive mistake I ever made was buying a house with my best friend and her family. Not only did it ruin the friendship but the house ended up in forclosure and has left me responsible for the mortgage totaling $93,000. Now that is a debt.

Having a big wedding....my fiance's family told me that they wanted to pay for half, they ended up not giving me any money. I still haven't gotten married yet, and they're still promising the money will come "when they can" but I've given up hope. Meanwhile, my fiance and I have put in a couple of few thousand dollars, and my parents have put in more than that. Did I mention his family makes up more than half of the total guest list? Yeah. But I'm not bitter at all...

My own money? None, but I cost my parents a few thousand dollars in college. I was going through depression then prozac induced mania and then depression and ended up dropping and failing a lot of classes as well as changing my major a few times. Going on prozac was a huge mistake, but boy was it fun!

Getting married has cost me a fortune, and getting divorced cost even more. I was going to get married again this year, but we've decided to postpone indefinitely. I went on a massive shop last week to cheer myself up, spent everything I had saved towards the wedding so far, and it felt great!!!! I only spent the money I had saved, not the money my b/f was saving, that's his to spend how he pleases.

This has nothing to do with weddings. But I took out a loan to go to school last semester and now I cant use any of those classes I took . I borrowed $8,500 and I have to pay back $31,000. WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.
