There are four different log on's each set up to use outlook, when outlook is used and all emails are read the logon page still says there is x amount of unread messages when there isn't. Why does this happen and how can I stop this from happening?

When I roll the mouse over the message it tells me that the unread emails are in the email account I have set up in Outlook (which is a blueyonder email account)

Check your hotmail account, msn messenger also logs unread mail messages so may be coming from that.

If you have ever tried any other email clients they could also do tthis.

If you want to turn this off download the tweakui powertoy from microsoft http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

You can then switch this off under logon - unread mail

You must have either a Hotmail or MSN Email address and this is why when you log on you see this message appearing!

If you are signed up to MSN, it could be alerting you to unread emails there, and not outlook.
