Because "IF" I ever get married, there are certain tax breaks for married people. Who knows my future wife could be rich! I've always wanted a sugar momma!

Mine is going to be on the beach and it's going to be a big celebration. There will be nothing religious about it. Here's a good link with some ideas.

lovely ones, anywhere you want. the beach, the redwoods, a meadow.
mine was at a beautiful restaurant. we wrote our own vows and our celebrant (a friend, who'd been ordained for the occasion, at the Universal Life Church website) said a variation on this:
These are the hands that hold yours on your wedding day as you give each other your pledge to love you and accept your rings.
These are the hands that are smooth and young and carefree now, but will be lined and rougher, working to make you comfortable.
These are the hands that will hold each child in tender love, soothing them through illness, disciplining them when naughty, and wringing themselves in worry when trouble comes.
These are the hands that will hold your face and wipe tears from your eyes - in wonder and awe that you would cry for her.
These are the hands that will hold you in joy, excitement and hope each time she tells you that you are to have another child; that together you have created new life.
These are the hands that through the years will caress your body in the passion of love, to enhance your intimacy.

another friend read an e.e. cummings poem.
we played Dead Can Dance and Celtic music.
several people told us it was the most beautiful wedding they'd ever been to.
your wedding can be whatever you'd like it to be. comfortable, intimate, romantic. it doesn't have to be in a courthouse just because it's not at a church.

I got married at city hall, by the mayor. In the country where I got married, this is the only legal form of wedding. After that, if people want to have a ceremony in a sauna or in a church it's up to them, but the real and legal thing is at city hall.
