If youve tried advantage and that didn't work, call around to the local petstores to find an all natural flea shampoo. The dips have harmful chemicals in them. Make sure the shampoo is safe for use on kittens, if its all natural, it should be safe for anyone. When you find your shampoo and are ready to bathe kitty, first put a ring of straight shampoo around her neck, and then around her ears, creating a barrier for the fleas so more of them cannot crawl up on her head, and in her ears nose, and eyes. Also, put a ring of shampoo around her little private areas, so the fleas dont crawl in there either. Then, wet and lather up the rest of her body, let the shampoo sit on the cat as per the instructions on the bottle and rinse very well. You have already put advantage on the cat, check when it will be safe to reapply with your vet.
Good luck, fleas are a pain in the butt, but if the flea bath is done right, you should be alright.

I worry about putting flea products on kittens. I would start with a fine tooth flea comb. Read the directions, once you have fleas on the comb you need to drown them in a heavy soap and water solution. It is kinda gross but it does work. It is also good because you will get your kitten used to being groomed.
Be VERY careful which flea medicines you put on the kitten if you decide to use one. Some can be toxic to the little ones. They do have some natural herbal remedies if you decided you don't want to take the risk. Read the label carefully!
The major thing you need to do though is get the fleas out of your house. Flea bombs, carpet powder for killing fleas are great when used together. One thing that helps is to vacuum frequently. After the powder and the bombs vacuum the whole house and then try to vacuum once a day after that. If you don't do this the kitten will just keep getting them back.

I would recommend vacuuming your house THOROUGHLY, as in under couch cushions, use the crevice tool and go all around the walls, move your couch and go under it. ANYWHERE the cat goes vacuum. Wash anything the cat plays with or sleeps on, including your bed sheets, whatever can't be washed throw away. When you vacuum, immediatly throw the bag outside.
My cat had a few fleas, so I researched about fleas, they can live 4 months without food. When they are in their 3rd stage of life, they're virtually indestructible. After each bite, a flea can lay up to 20 eggs and those eggs usually fall off in the carpet, covers, couch cracks and around the house.
I also recommend this stuff called IGR (insect growth regulator) its a powder you spread on the carpet and in the couch corners and what not. It's guaranteed to kill fleas in the first 2 stages of their life. One year guarantee!!! Fleas have 4 stages and only about 15% of them are in the adult stage. The vast majority are in the first 2. Anyways, the IGR kills them before they reach the 3rd stage. The advantage will kill them when they're adults. So that should do it, it will take a few months, because like I said, if they're in your carpet or couch they can live 4 months without food.
If you have a room that your cat doesn't go in often, take a little bowl and stick a gooseneck light over it, shining over the bowl. Fill the bowl with water and put a little dish soap in the water. Fleas are attraced to light and will jump towards it, the soap breaks the waters surface tension and the fleas will drown. Also, walk around the house in long white socks and the fleas will jump on the socks. Those are ways to determine if your flea problem has spread. It's scary but also possible.

Flea dip. Then a flea collar. Advantage or Frontline really should do the job if applied right. It goes to the bloodstream of the animal so that when the fleas bite them they eat the poison and die. It should best be applied after a bath. Give her a flea dip and then dry her really, really well, and put it between her shoulder blades directly on and touching the skin. They aren't impossible to get rid of, just a pain in the *** for both you and your cat.

Give her a flea bath... now the fleas may want to go into her ear so I would suggest using a little vaseline petroleum jelly to coat the insides so they cant go in..
Bathe her every week until the problem is solved... then because they catch mice who may have fleas.. get a flea comb and you comb her head.. she can pretty much take care of the rest of her body as cats have like little suction cups on their tongues that help catch the fleas...
Fleas love the head area as they are save from dog or cat. == but not from YOU.. hahhahahaa
GOOD LUCK

Fleas are a major pest. There are various species of fleas - cat fleas, dog fleas, rat fleas and rabbit fleas.
You can get rid of them by the safest and cheapest methods like boric acid.

The best I have ever done to to go to your local grocerie shop (if you can find pet products there) or pet shop and get your kitten a tick and flea collor and put it on. Make sure to leave enough room for her to grow in the collor. Don't worry that your kitten might be to young she will be ok.

Advantage or Frontline used as directed (proper dose applied once a month) should take care of the problem.
If you use one of these products, DO NOT BATHE the kitten. Bathing washes the medication off the skin and eliminates the benefits of it.
