yes, you can allways park on a single yellow line, in fact you can park on a double yellow or red line. Problem is, you may get a ticket. But I promise you can park on them.

Yellow lines are there to indicate " waiting restrictions ". Double yellow lines mean no waiting at any time. In the case of a single yellow line, you may stop to load or unload , or while passengers board or alight but you must be aware of any restrictions shown on the sign / plate. This is written in The Highway Code. However, I would still be somewhat uncomfortable with parking my car on a single yellow line because it could be argued you are / were not there for loading purposes.

A double yellow line means no parking or waiting at any time.
A single yellow means that parking and waiting are allowed at certain times - which will be displayed on a sign next to the road.
Although no parking between 8am and 6pm is most common, there are no nationally-fixed times at which the restrictions apply, so you always have to check the signs.

It literally means no parking during the working day - 7am to 7pm. If in doubt check the nearby yellow sign, it will be on a wall or post.
You can park there for 3 hours if you have a disabled parking badge and display it in the front window.

not worth the hassle, I think you can pick up and drop off Okay but I certainly wouldn't leave a car unattended on a single yellow.
There should be little signs showing the conditions which apply.

It depends on the local council / traffic laws. Generally you can't between certain times e.g. 7 am to 7 p.m weekdays .Usually you can park on them in the eveings. You can load and unload generally , but only park for 5 mins otherwise.

Nothing to stop you parking on one but would suggest you get ready to pay out if you do. The reason they are there is to warn you it is a no parking area.

Always look for the sign on the lamp post nearby, if there isn't one, I wouldn't risk it for a biscuit at all.
