You will pay top dollar to rent a hotel ballroom, as most hotels force you to buy a wedding package including food and beverage (that's where we make our money). If they actually allow an outside caterer on premise you will have high corkage fees for outside privileges. Try just a regular banquet hall, and find a local hotel to host your guest room needs, most hotels have wedding group rates. All depends on what your budget is.

I'm not sure the cost, but if you want something a little different that is still a ballroom, check into the IX Center. I was at a Bridal Show there this weekend, and I know that they had information about renting the ballroom there. I was in the ballroom for a fashion show, and it looked beautiful. There was a lot of room in there and there is a bar right there in the room, if you're interested in having a bar. The ballroom had unique chandeliers and there will defiantly be enough room for dancing. Also, by having it at the IX Center, there will be plenty of room for people to park. The ballroom is in the East Wing of the Center. I hope this helps.

No sure about Cleveland but every ball from I looked at in NJ was way over $100 per person.
You have $$ per person, plus 20% gratuity charge and 7% sale tax. Just call and ask people to send you their paper work. Most places will send you out information or ask you to come in.
I takes a little while to find a nice place you can afford. I was in one place that was like $150 per person and it was a dump... the centerpiece even fell apart when the sale person touched it... We had a good laugh and you realize someplace just aren't worth $$$ even though they say they are.
