Why do some people die bachelors? I believe that there is someone whom is destined to be your soul mate, but god gave us free will, we have the choice to look for our soul mate and we have the choice to pursue that soul mate for a relationship.
Those who do not search for their soul mate are not likely to find them, and others are so consumed with fortune that they never stop and see what life has to offer.
Basically if you do not look then you can not find, and those who do not believe are not looking even when their soulmate is right in front of them!

The "soulmate" myth is a bad idea foisted upon western culture by the trubadour tradition and kept alive by Hollywood.
That's why some people die spinsters and bachelors in their old age, because they never realized they could look for someone who would be appropriate and compatible to them, holding out for that non-existent perfect soulmate instead.

i don't believe everyone is destined to find their soulmate. MOST people settle for company, someone who likes them and saves them from being alone. Some people are lucky enough to find someone they connect with on almost every level and others wait their entire life for someone that doesn't exist. Many who die single simply decided to not settle for any of the above and actually enjoy having their time to themselves. This soulmate idea is some silly ideal that there's someone out there that fits perfectly with us. No matter how wonderful two people are together, staying together takes work... lots of work.

I often ask the qn to myself esp now that I am 26 and single.. I worry as well if I will die a spinster but honestly do we have the answers? For some of us its just so difficult to meet one nice person.

People only find love when they look for it. If someone doesn't make themself "marketable" then they have much less of a chance in finding a soulmate. You must also realize tramatic circumstances in most cases can cause people to become shutoff from being loved. Not everyone wants to find someone. Hope this helps you.

Who knows? Maybe they didn't recognise their soulmate when they met them and let them slip by..... Doesn't mean that when you meet your mate, you know right there and there he is the one!! Maybe the spinsters and bachelors chose not to date or look for a partner.....there are some people who vows not to have partners......

Because they spend their lives trying to live up to storybook romances and placing an impossible image against the people of the opposite sex that can never be lived up to.
Life is about making mistakes and learning from them; if you just try and be happy, you get what you're after more times than not. If you spend your life striving for the 'perfect mate', you waste your youth on anxiety and depression. Good luck!!!

It's a myth. Some of us fall in love, ask a person, doesn't work, and it's like that again and again until one day we're too old and too tired of life and all we want is to die, once and for all.

because they rely too heavily on fate and destiny, they only take you so far. They show you a possibility you are the one who needs to make the choice in th end
