I went to eHarmony.com and took their personality profile, which, by the way, was very long and took me forever to complete.

But when I finished, they sent me a message basically saying that they can't match me with anyone so I have no need to purchase their service!

WHAT? They refused my money before I even took them up on their offer to buy.

Do not worry about some dot company refusing to match your profile. Tell me do you get a job every time you posts your personal profile for various companies. I suppose very rarely. Well then what is the worry. The only thing I can think about 'unmatchable' stuff is that you may have given very specific replies whereas other people may have given general information. Make friends, go with them to movies, parties. There is a long journey and many things are to be fulfilled in life. Make friends with those who are of your liking.

Well first off, I'm betting that not every single person in the world uses "eHarmony.com", or any online dating services for that matter which leaves a LOT of people still. Secondly, you would be better off having love find YOU than YOU looking for love. Last, there is a person out there for everyone. You just haven't found yours yet, but all in good time little girl. :]

Ugh! I wouldnt listen to any service that isnt willing to help you without needing some kind of deposit, whether or not they accepted you!
First--everyone dies alone! You might be surrounded by people at the time of your death, but ultimately, you are going on alone. That thought terrifies me too, but I wouldnt worry about that stuff right now. You only have one life to live, dont live it based on what some stupid company tells you. If you feel unloved, go volunteer somewhere. Once you feel useful youll start feeling better internally and who knows?! Maybe even find Mr or Ms Right! :)

Dear, you looked at wrong place. You are such a nice and intelligent person (I am saying this after looking at your Q & A, llok at the number of best answers you have). SO You need not worry. Stop trying hard to find someone. And don't go to such sites who match based on parameters. Look around you.

Everyone can find a match, you need a nice approach to it. Keep doing your work, keep talking to your friends and one day your soulmate will come and you will know.

dont bury yourself in worry, everybody has someone special, you dont need an online dating service to tell you that , to be honest with you , that thing is a scam anyway, im sure there is someone out there who shares ALL the same interests that you do , dont worry , it will happen for you one day soon

edit:
after reading some more responses, i thought i should say something else, you should never have to be someone your not, you shouldnt have to lie on a personality test or "try to find yourself" nor should you pick out your own flaws, most peoples weekness are there strongest traits, dont give away apart of your character

If it's true that you're so unique and individual that it's hard to find you a 'perfect' match, then consider it a compliment. They can't find anyone quite like you because people quite like you are very rare.

But don't worry, you're not alone. I fall into that same category, and I'm still enjoying my life immensely. :-)

Sooner or later, you will find your match. And if that pesky Murphy has anything to do with it, it will probably be right after you stop worrying about it. ;-)

Don't feel bad - I had the same experience.

Somewhere on their site that says something like 25% of people aren't matched, but please come back.

If you're an eccentric like me - its hard to find a match - I don't do well with 'normal' people... so I've been single for a bit now...

Good luck though.

some people are better alone.

Paul said in the Bible that some people are meant to do their work with only the Lord, while others need to join with somebody of the opposite sex (key words there for anyone confused) to fufill their work in Christ.

If you think this is all crap...I'm sorry, just trying to help you out :)

Bummer, LOL!!

Don't take it personally. Maybe try being a little less honest in the test next time

That's one to send in to Jay Leno...
