my boyfriend has dreads and i want to retwist them so bad be cuz they startin to look old and he aint tryin to go to the shop pleasee tell me how to do it his dreads is long they to his shoulders thanxxxxxxxx so much yahoo

I really don't know how to re twist them other than re twisting them with a pomade. Just go over them with the pomade after you have given them a good thorough washing. The pomade should make the old hair that has loosened up and edged out. form back into the dread. I personally like bald myself and think he should try it. I think the day is gone for the dreads.

One website, Knottyboy, which I'm not sure is still up---suggested using a crochet hook to intertwine the hairs that are unraveling, especially at the roots.
