My Dvd drive says its working, but when i put a blank cd or dvd in there, it just freezes.?

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.

Do you have a CD/DVD lens cleaner ?

you may need to install up to date drivers for your burner.
go to the manufacturers(of the dvd drive) website and check for available updates
