Face it. Even porn stars are not perfect. Standard definition television has until now conveniently hidden various imperfections on the talent on what would be a turn off to some people. Now that HD is here, do you think HD porn will be TOO detailed? In other words, do you REALLY want to see those *** pimples?? LOL.

The industry are apparently fairly worried.

Namely female 'actresses' and their cosmetic surgery scars showing up.

Hahaha.. never thought of that, but I do think that it might effect a little.. You could always look at the TV from far away to avoid seeing imperfections of the talent. Not only porn industries, movie industry too will have the effect.. they have to makeup their artist more than usual to make them look beautiful.

btw, HD is hi-definition TV.

I really don't think it will have any impact at all. There will always be a big demand for porn. You can do allot with makeup, lighting and filters on the camera. Not to mention lots of porn stars are far from perfect looking with everything from zits to visible scars. Most people don't pay attention to that they just want to see the sex.

This is actually a legitimate issue in commercial TV, with makeup artists having to use different combinations of makeup on actors that is more complimentary using HD recording equipment. So, yes, the adult entertainment industry would have to be similarly concerned that their actors and actresses flaws would be exacterbated with the advent of HD.

HD allows you to see EVERY pore on an actors skin. Every flaw becomes visible. Some people aren't as attractive as they used to be once you've seen them in Hi-Def. I'd say it's a detriment.
